Solar Trade Association Intern

 Organisation: Solar Trade Association

Salary: Reasonable travel expenses

Location: London (Waterloo Station)

Hours: Part-time/Full-time.

Position Type: Volunteer

Duration: Flexible, minimum 2 months, 2-5 days/week

Contract: Fixed term contract

About the STA

With over 450 company members the Solar Trade Association (STA) covers both solar photovoltaic and thermal technologies and is the UK’s largest and most influential solar association in the sector. Our aim is to promote the use of solar energy at all scales to Government and other key stakeholders.

At our London Head Office we have staff working across the policy, communications, events, marketing, and administrative support functions. Solar stands on the brink of becoming a mainstream source of renewable energy generation.

Skills:

  • Knowledge and interest in environmental and renewable energy issues.
  • Good writing skills
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel. Website design knowledge would be valued.

Role:

 Within this internship, you will have the opportunity work in a wide range of tasks such as:

 Write specialised articles on PV and solar thermal and statistical reports for the website and STA Newsletter

  • Preparation of general information for the general public.
  • Research websites to find comprehensive set of LINKS FAQ section
  • STA website administrator
  •  Helping in the general administration of the STA:

o    members’ database

o    general enquiries

o    surveys

  • Data analytics within excel
